At least at USD! KCAA is still testing and will be done after Memorial Day!
With the filming of PACT under my belt, it seems like I never had much time to work on finals. It seems as if everything is due in the next week or so. I have two case studies, two presentations, and two essays to complete. Here comes the cramming! Star testing begins next Tuesday. My master teacher explained to me that this week, they don't actually cram, and they try to make students as relaxed as possible. Tomorrow we will be going to a test prep assembly where it is all fun and games from the teachers and the students get to let loose. Is it stressful that STAR testing and finals are the same time? Of course it is. But just like they do at KCAA, I have to have faith that I have been preparing all semester for this and I will be ready.
PACT went great! On the first day, I knew I had the segments I was going to use. I put up a picture of an array, and all the students repeated after me - "Array!" I then put up a picture of an angry bird array, and my lowest level math student says, "Oh my! That's an angry bird array!" It was such a wonderful feeling that the lesson had made it across to the students. The other two days went well and I am excited the filming section is over. I know have to finish writing the last 3 Tasks and edit the whole thing. At least classes and finals will soon be done and we can move onto summer!
